Prerna Bal Niketan Higher Secondary School was established in 1997 in Rau with a mission to provide quality education to the rural children at moderate fees. The school started with only 70 students, but over the years, it has grown into one of the leading educational institutions in the town.

The founders of the school recognized the need for quality education in the rural areas and aimed to bridge the gap between the urban and rural education systems. They believed that every child, regardless of their socio-economic background, deserves access to quality education. With this objective in mind, the school was established.

Initially, the school started with a primary section and gradually expanded to include a middle school and a high school. As the demand for quality education increased, the school opened its second branch in the town to cater to more students.

Today, Prerna Bal Niketan Higher Secondary School has approximately 2500 students across both its branches. The school offers education up to the higher secondary level and provides a holistic learning experience that includes academic as well as co-curricular activities.
